Today, November 7, voters across New York will be going to the polls to vote on whether New York should hold a Constitutional Convention. The locals that make up the Utility Labor Council have spent the better part of the last year informing our members about the dangers of holding a convention. Some of these dangers include the loss of our collective bargaining rights, the loss of many safety precautions and the weakening of workers compensation laws. We believe that these risks are too great and have instructed all of our members to Vote No on Proposition 1 today. Polls are open until 9 PM, please remember to flip your ballot and Vote No.
