Due to the coronavirus , the legislature has shut down until at least mid to late April, although nothing has been confirmed yet. While we urge the legislature to move quickly and pass a budget, serious policy proposals should be put aside until after the coronavirus situation has subsided.
While we wait, the Utility Labor Council is advocating for the state to ensure that anything that is built with over 50,000 watts would be required to sign a labor peace agreement. This agreement would be with the union of jurisdiction and would cover maintenance and repair jobs.

In the meantime, our workforce is taking protections to work during this Coronavirus outbreak. Our members continue to work at the same world class level, while taking important precautions to stay safe. We hope that everyone stays safe during this crisis.
